Stick Welding Class 

Get ready to spark up your welding skills with this hands-on Stick Welding class! Whether you’re brand new to welding or looking to strengthen your foundation, this course will guide you through the fundamentals of Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW). You’ll learn how to set up your machine, choose the right electrodes, strike and maintain an arc, and create strong, clean welds on steel. We’ll cover safety, technique, and real-world applications—giving you the confidence to tackle repair projects, fabrication work, or future welding certifications.

Tuition: $180.00 includes materials.

Marisa has over 10 years of experience working with metal and welding and have taught welding courses at Pellissippi State Community College, along with years of experience leading glassblowing workshops. She’s passionate about sharing her knowledge and inspiring others to explore the trades. Marisa workshops focus on essential skills and safety while also offering hands-on projects, giving students a unique piece to take home as a testament to what they’ve learned.
