We are so excited about June’s First Friday! We get to celebrate and contribute to one of the most amazing organizations here in Knoxville, Knox Pride! Knox Pride provides food for anyone in need, no questions asked, FOURTY HOURS A WEEK! The staff is welcoming, kind, and each of them does more than just run Knox Pride. They help organize the warming centers, community gardens, craft nights, support groups, and making our city a better place! So let’s join together and give to them!

Our featured artist is the Knox Pride master gardener Ran Brady. She is a community volunteer and artist that blended both passions to create, The Botanical Butch. She harvests flowers and plants from the various community gardens she manages, along with bones from roadkill and farms in order to honor natural elements in her art. Ran spends ALL of her time establishing new community gardens, growing fresh food to donate to Knox Pride, and educating the public to become better stewards of this beautiful planet we all call home.
